Forest School

This term the children in the Junior department are having the opportunity to particpate in Forst School.  This is an exciting way for the children to explore our beautiful garden and learn new skills.

The children in years 3 and 4 have enjoyed their sessions, learning now to make Green men, sculptures of insects using clay, leaves, flowers and sticks, using the garden to make potions and learning how to use a saw and drill while making necklaces.

During our final session we made forest friends and shelters for them.  We also had a camp fire, where we made our own charcoal as well as roasting marshmallows.  Mmm.  We thoroughly enjoyed our forest school sessions.

The children in years 5 and 6 will be having their sessions this half term.
