Piglets

The Piglets start the day with breakfast, followed by freeplay.  They have two naps during the day tuckep up in individual cots, under the constant supervision of their room staff.  They will then have an art orientated activity which we display proudly in their room.  Having recently been on a room visit to the 'Sweet Peas' Health Centre, the staff has been inspired to create a sensory corner.  There will be bright, coloured, hanging curtains, different textured materials to feel, beanbags to squeeze, lights to push on, music to listen to and different aromas to enjoy.

Tiggers

The Tiggers are situated in the new portacabin (though once inside you feel like you are simply in another room).  The room is bright and cheerful, spacious and ensuite.

Owl's

From Roos through to Owls, the day starts with breakfast which is then followed by an activity.  We then enjoy singing or circle time.  The children will have one sleep during the day, and all eat lunch at 11.30am.  They also have access to outside play, and acitivities include painting, sticking, play dough, marble and bubble painting.

The Owl's room particularly works towards helping the children to become a little more independent - ready for their transfer into Foundation Stage 1 in main school.  This is a big jump with the introduction of uniforms, using the bigger playground and being with older children.  Consequently, the staff aim to make this change as smooth as possible and constantly liaise with the Foundation Class staff.
