King's Winners!

Posted on 22 June 2012

King’s School pupils have been on a winning streak this week.

Christopher from year 3 took part in the Plymouth Schools Athletics Competition at Brickfields and came first in the 60 metres final.  Other members of the King’s School team Finlay, Alex and Morwenna all competed in their finals on the track and came in the top 3.  Milo also excelled in the high jump and came 3rd over all.  Well done to everyone who took part.

Also this week pupils were invited to take part in a competition held by Young Engineers partnered with Tomy at the Plymouth Marine Aquarium.  Pupils were provided with a brief to build a working light house model using K’Nex.  Part of the brief included a mechanism to turn a light, a helicopter pad and the lighthouse had to be a least 100cm tall.

King’s School entered 2 teams, Finnian and Zayli and Joseph and Jacob.  Both teams did extremely well with Finnian and Zayli winning the overall competition.  They won a large K’Nex roller coaster kit and goody bag for the School and other goodies for themselves which included a helicopter and car.  Once again well done to everyone who took part.
