Welcome to King's School & Nursery
King’s School and Nursery in Plymouth is a co-educational independent school for children aged 8 months up to 11 years old. We provide a complete education in a warm and nurturing environment.
Our strong sense of family and community, where each child is guided and encouraged to aim high and do their best both academically and personally, is something we are very proud of. Good manners and thoughtfulness for others are core values and children learn to take responsibility whilst gaining in self-confidence, self-discipline and maturity.
Inspection Report 2024
In our March 2024 ISI Inspection King’s School and Nursery met every Standard and achieved an Outstanding in all areas for our Nursery.
The five areas assessed were:

🌱 King’s Gardening Club Update! 🌿
Last night, our young gardeners got their hands dirty and their taste buds tingling! 🧑🌾✨
We proudly harvested our very own beetroot and radishes, enjoyed the refreshing crunch of cucumber straight from the vine, and even sipped on some freshly brewed mint tea grown right here in our garden! 🥒🍵💚
What a wonderful way to connect with nature, learn about where our food comes from, and enjoy the fruits (and veggies!) of our labour.

Year 6 had a great morning perfecting their front foot drive with the Mr Powell and Mr Steer (PE staff from Stover).
They worked on foot, head and bat position and then ended with a game of Pavillion Cricket (where the aim is to use the front foot drive and deliver a straight shot) where some outstanding batting and fielding was demonstrated by Year 6! Well done!
