King’s School and Nursery in Plymouth is a co-educational independent school for children aged 8 months up to 11 years old. We provide a complete education in a warm and nurturing environment.
Our strong sense of family and community, where each child is guided and encouraged to aim high and do their best both academically and personally, is something we are very proud of. Good manners and thoughtfulness for others are core values and children learn to take responsibility whilst gaining in self-confidence, self-discipline and maturity.

In our March 2024 ISI Inspection King’s School and Nursery met every Standard and achieved an Outstanding in all areas for our Nursery.
The five areas assessed were:

✨ Enrichment Morning at King’s! ✨
Today our pupils had the exciting opportunity to try fencing as part of our enrichment programme 🗡️🤺
With masks on, foils in hand, and big smiles all around, the children learned the basics of balance, footwork, focus and respect — all key parts of this elegant sport. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow with every move!

This week, our Year 6 pupils visited Hartley Care to share the joy of the season through a heartfelt Christmas carol performance. Their singing brought smiles to residents and staff alike, creating a truly special moment of connection. The visit was a wonderful reminder of the importance of community, kindness, and looking beyond ourselves to support and uplift others.
