At King’s School & Nursery, our Key Stages focus on children from Nursery age through to 11. At King’s the education of children is specific to the age range, it means that our curriculum and teaching methods can be tailored to best suit our pupil’s needs.
The youngest children at King’s are part of our Nursery. Here pupils begin to learn the fundamentals of education through play-based learning. As the children develop they move into our Foundation Stage and a more structured approach to learning is adopted.
From reception through to year 6 King’s offers a broad and balanced curriculum. The curriculum is enriching and encourages pupils as they progress through school to take ownership of their learning, preparing them to move on to the next stage their education. Whilst we recognise that taking the 11+ is not for every pupil we support those who are able, if that is their preferred choice.
As a leading provider of childcare in Plymouth, we promote a warm, friendly, family atmosphere.
Foundation Stage is where we prepare children for entry to King's School Reception class.
Years 1 & 2
We are fully committed to understanding each and every child’s individual needs and seek out what makes each of them different and unique.
Years 3 to 6
In the Junior Department children develop independent learning in preparation for transition to secondary education.
We work in close partnership with parents to make the children feel fully included.
